Sego Awards

The Sego Awards are the first awards in Utah to celebrate, recognize, and honor female founders and CEOs.

The goal is to create visibility and awareness for women entrepreneurs. Visibility is the key to attracting the community, mentors, funding, and an environment that will help fuel success. The awards celebrate the bold and impactful female titans who have founded and are building great businesses.

I helped create and host the first-annual Sego Awards in 2018 and owned the project in 2019 and 2020.

My role

Working alongside the two main founders, we hosted ideation and creative brainstorming sessions. Once solidified, I owned the execution of the project and worked closely with the design agency helping us with branding.

Some of my responsibilities included:

Total event creation and management from start to finish, including ideation and experience design
Volunteer and vendor coordination
Email campaign management and copywriting
Event registration page management
Speaker and sponsor coordination, orientation, tech support, and instruction
Run of show/agenda creation and day-of execution
Tech rehearsals and full-event run-throughs
Finalist and winners coordination and support
Attendee and on-site guest support
